SNR (Single Number Rating or simplified Noise Level Reduction) indicates the attenuation
level in dB in an average industrial noise environment. H, M ja L values in dB indicate the 
attenuation in high frequency (H), medium frequency (M) and in low frequency (L) noise.

NRR or Noise Reduction Rating is a rating system set up by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The NRR indicates the amount of potential protection a hearing protector will give in a noisy environment.
